Birthday plans that work with a car

A 21st on the Sunset Strip

Dinner in West Hollywood, then bars along Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevard. The chauffeur moves the group between stops and gets everyone home, so nobody drives after midnight.

    A milestone dinner

A 40th or 50th at Nobu Malibu, Mastro’s in Beverly Hills or Craig’s in West Hollywood, in a First Class car that waits outside through dessert.

    The surprise pickup

Guests gather at the restaurant while the car collects the birthday person at home. The chauffeur is on site 15 minutes early, so the timing of the surprise holds.

    Sweet 16 and teen birthdays

A parent books and pays, a Sprinter takes up to 12 friends to The Grove, Universal CityWalk or the Santa Monica Pier, and there is no alcohol in the car for anyone under 21.

    Sunset up the coast

Ride the Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica to Point Dume for sunset, then come back into town for dinner. Plan on 30 to 45 minutes each way.

    A show or a game

Build the night around the Hollywood Bowl, Crypto.com Arena or the Kia Forum, and skip the parking lot and the post-show wait for a ride.

Planning a birthday night with several stops

    1. 1

      Pick the hours

Count from the first pickup to the last drop-off and add 30 minutes. A dinner-and-drinks night usually needs 4 to 6 hours.

    2. 2

      Collect the group

If friends live in different neighborhoods, list the pickups in order, for example Silver Lake, then Los Feliz, then West Hollywood. Hourly bookings take up to three stops, and the rest go in the notes for your chauffeur.

    3. 3

      Dinner

The chauffeur drops you at the door and waits nearby while you eat. When you come out, say where the night goes next.

    4. 4

      The late part

Move between bars or clubs without standing outside waiting for a ride. Bottled water and phone chargers are in the car between stops.

    5. 5

      Everyone home

Drop-offs go in whatever order makes sense, and the birthday person can be dropped last so the night ends on their schedule.

Which car for the size of the party

    Counts include the birthday person.

    • Up to 3 passengers: Business Class, a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar, for dinner for two or a small surprise.
    • Up to 6 passengers: Business SUV, a Chevrolet Suburban or similar, for a group heading out for a 30th.
    • Up to 6 passengers, dressed up: First Class, a Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, for a milestone dinner.
    • Up to 12 passengers: a Sprinter van, booked by the hour with a 3-hour minimum, so the whole group rides together.
    • More than 12: two vehicles on the same schedule, for example a Sprinter for friends and an SUV for family who head home after dinner.

    21st birthdays and teen birthdays

For a 21st, champagne can be arranged on request for guests who are 21 and over; mention it when you book. Guests under 21 in the same group ride alcohol-free, which matters when friends of different ages celebrate together.

For a sweet 16 or any party where the guests are under 21, there is no alcohol in the car. A parent can book and pay, the price is fixed before payment and charged in full at booking, and every chauffeur is background-checked.

    Birthdays questions

Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp or call (213) 376-1699.

Can the car be decorated for a birthday?

Yes, car decorations are available on request. Add what you have in mind to the notes when you book, whether that is a “Happy Birthday” banner or something themed, and we will confirm what can be done before the day.

Can you arrange champagne in the car for a 21st birthday?

Yes, for passengers who are 21 or older. Note it at booking along with the number of guests, and it will be arranged for the ride. Nobody under 21 drinks in the car.

Can friends be picked up from different addresses before the party?

Yes, on an hourly booking. Enter up to three stops in the booking form and add any others to the notes for your chauffeur. Grouping pickups by neighborhood keeps the start of the night short.

Do you offer sweet 16 car service for teens?

Yes. A parent can book and pay, a Sprinter van fits up to 12 friends, and there is no alcohol in the car for anyone under 21. Chauffeurs are background-checked, and the price is fixed before you pay.

How many hours should we book for a birthday night out?

Count from the first pickup to the last drop-off and add a 30-minute cushion. Dinner and the ride home usually fits in 3 hours, while dinner plus bars or a club runs 4 to 6. The minimum is 2 hours, or 3 for a Sprinter van.

Will the chauffeur wait while we are at dinner?

Yes. On an hourly booking the car is yours for the whole block, so the chauffeur waits nearby while you eat and pulls up to the entrance when you come out. That saves the valet line at busy spots in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

Can we take the birthday group to Las Vegas or Palm Springs?

Yes. Drop-offs can be anywhere, so a birthday weekend can start with a ride from LA to Las Vegas, about four hours, or to Palm Springs, about two. Our Las Vegas trips page has the details for that drive.

Can the birthday ride start in Orange County?

Yes. Pickups run anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County, so the night can start in Newport Beach or Irvine and head to dinner in LA, or the other way around. Plan for about an hour between the two at night.
