Proms by the hour
Three hours suits homecoming, or photos plus the drop-off at prom. Six hours keeps the car through the dance itself, so the chauffeur is waiting when it ends. Vans are booked for at least 3 hours.
Live rates. The exact fixed price for your trip is shown before you pay, with no surge pricing.
Prom night, start to finish
An example for a dance from 7 to 11 pm. Your school’s times will differ.
- 1
Photos at home, 4:45 pm
The chauffeur is at the photo house 15 minutes before pickup, so parents get their pictures, car included, before anyone leaves.
- 2
A photo stop, 5:30 pm
Groups often add the Exposition Park Rose Garden, the Santa Monica Pier or the Griffith Observatory lawn, where parking is hard and a drop-off at the front saves the walk.
- 3
Dinner, 6:00 pm
If the group eats before the dance, add the restaurant as a stop. Hourly bookings take up to three stops, and the chauffeur waits outside.
- 4
Arrival, 7:00 pm
Drop-off at the entrance, whether prom is in a Downtown hotel ballroom, a Long Beach waterfront venue or the school gym. The chauffeur parks nearby for the rest of the night.
- 5
Home, 11:00 pm
Everyone is driven home one address at a time, in the order the parents chose when they booked.
Picking the right car for the group
Count dates and friends. Capacities are passengers.
Just the two of you
Business Class (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar) for up to 3: a couple, with room for one more friend.
A small group, dressed up
First Class (Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar) for up to 6, the most formal option in the fleet.
Three couples
Business SUV (Chevrolet Suburban or similar) for up to 6, with space in back for jackets, shoes and bags.
The whole friend group
A Sprinter van for up to 12, so everyone arrives together and nobody splits up for the photos at the entrance.
More than 12
Book two vehicles for the same pickup time, such as a Sprinter plus an SUV, and keep both on the same plan for the night.
For parents
A parent can make the booking in their own name and pay for it. The full fare is charged when you book, so students carry no cash for the ride, and the price is fixed before you pay, with no surge on busy prom Saturdays.
There is no alcohol in the car for anyone under 21. Chauffeurs are background-checked, vehicles are detailed daily, and LA Limo Services holds California PUC charter-party permit TCP0049714-B.
If the date or the group changes, cancelling 24 hours or more before pickup is free. Between 6 and 24 hours a partial fee applies, and under 6 hours the fare is charged in full, so settle the group list a day or two before.
What to have ready when you book
- The number of passengers, including dates from other schools
- The photo house address and the time the group wants to leave
- Any photo stop or dinner reservation, with addresses
- The venue address and the dance’s start and end times
- Every home address for the ride back, in drop-off order, for the notes for your chauffeur
- A parent’s mobile number, also in the notes

Proms questions
Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp or call (213) 376-1699.
Can a parent book and pay for the prom car?
Yes. A parent can book in their own name, pay by card and list the students’ pickup and drop-off addresses. The full fare is charged at booking, so nothing is collected from the students on the night.
Is alcohol allowed in the car on prom night?
No. There is no alcohol in the car for anyone under 21, which covers nearly every prom and homecoming group. Parents can add their own phone number to the notes for the chauffeur.
When should we book a car for prom in LA?
Several weeks ahead. Most LA proms fall on Friday and Saturday nights between April and early June, many schools share the same dates, and each van can only serve one group that night.
How many students fit in one prom car?
Up to 3 in Business Class, up to 6 in a Business SUV or First Class, and up to 12 in a Sprinter van. A group of 7 to 12 fits in one Sprinter; above that, book a second vehicle for the same time.
Is it cheaper to book just the drop-off and the pickup?
Sometimes. Sedans and SUVs can be booked as two one-way rides, there before the dance and home after it, instead of waiting through it. Sprinter vans are hourly only with a 3-hour minimum, so compare both options in the booking form.
Can the chauffeur drop each student at a different house?
Yes, on an hourly booking. Add up to three stops in the booking form and list any other addresses in the notes for your chauffeur, in drop-off order. Allow 10 to 15 minutes per stop when you choose the number of hours.
Do you drive students to homecoming and winter formal too?
Yes, the same way as prom. Homecoming dances in the fall and winter formals are often shorter, so a 3-hour block for photos and the drop-off, with a one-way SUV ride home afterward, can be enough.
