You drove there. Our chauffeur drives you back.

You drove to dinner in Santa Monica, a wedding in Malibu or a game at SoFi Stadium, and now you would rather not drive home. A rideshare gets you home but leaves the car behind, which means a second trip in the morning and maybe a garage fee or a ticket.

With our designated driver service, a professional chauffeur meets you where you are, takes your keys and drives your own car to your door, with you and up to three passengers inside. The car is in your driveway when you wake up.

It is not only for nights out. You can also book a driver for your own car when you land tired after a long flight and the car is in an airport lot, when you want to work during a long drive, or when you would simply rather not face the 405.

How the Personal Driver service works

    1. 1

      Choose Personal Driver

On the booking page, pick Personal Driver, then hourly or one-way. Enter where the chauffeur should meet you and where to take your car, at least 2 hours ahead.

    2. 2

      Describe your car

Make, model and color are required so the chauffeur can find it in a valet line or a parking structure. Add where the keys will be, such as with the valet or in your hand.

    3. 3

      Hand over the keys

The chauffeur arrives 15 minutes before the meeting time, finds you and takes the wheel.

    4. 4

Ride home in your own car

You and up to three passengers ride along. The chauffeur parks where you ask and hands the keys back.

When a designated driver makes sense

    Dinner with wine

A long dinner on Abbot Kinney or in Beverly Hills where you want the second bottle. Your car comes home with you tonight, not tomorrow.

    Games and concerts

You drove to SoFi Stadium, the Kia Forum or Dodger Stadium and tailgated. Book a one-way ride home at a price set in advance, whatever the post-game surge looks like on the apps.

    Weddings and parties

Guests who drove to a wedding in Malibu or a party in the Hollywood Hills can book a chauffeur for the drive home, timed to the last dance.

    Bars and nightlife

The Sunset Strip, Downtown rooftops, Koreatown karaoke. Book by the hour to move between bars in your own car with up to four people.

    Work events

A client dinner or a holiday party where drinks are part of the evening. Book before you go and the drive home is already handled.

    Long drives

San Diego or Palm Springs in your own car, while you rest or work. Book one-way and the fare is set by distance before you pay.

Before you book a driver for your car

    • Up to 4 passengers can ride along, so make sure your car has a seat belt for everyone plus the chauffeur
    • Keep the registration and insurance card in the glove box, as you would whenever someone else drives
    • Say where the keys will be: in your hand, with the valet or at the host stand
    • Settle the valet or garage ticket before the chauffeur arrives, or have it ready
    • Book hourly if you want stops on the way, such as dropping friends at home
    • Book one-way for a single drive from the venue to your door
    • Book at least 2 hours ahead, and earlier in the day on New Year’s Eve or a big game night

    Designated Driver questions

Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp or call +1 (310) 861-7924.

How does the designated driver service work?

You book a Personal Driver online with a meeting point, a destination and your car’s make, model and color. A professional chauffeur meets you there, takes the keys and drives you and your car home, or on to other stops if you booked by the hour. The price is fixed and paid when you book.

Why not take a rideshare and leave my car?

You can, but then the car sits at the venue overnight, and getting it back costs another ride, maybe a parking fee and part of your morning. A designated driver brings you and your car home in one trip, at a price fixed before you book.

Do I have to be drinking to book a driver for my car?

No. You can book a personal driver for your own car for any reason: you are tired, you want to work on a long drive, you do not like driving at night, or you just landed and your car is in the airport lot. The service and the price are the same.

How many people can ride in my car with the chauffeur?

Up to 4 passengers can ride along, as long as your car has a seat belt for each of them and the chauffeur. For a bigger group, book one of our cars instead, such as the Business SUV for up to 6 or the Sprinter van for up to 12.

What do you need to know about my car?

The booking asks for its make, model and color so the chauffeur can spot it in a valet line or a garage. There is also a field for the key handoff, such as keys with the valet or in your hand. Anything else, like a gate code at home or where to park, goes in the notes.

How much does a designated driver cost in Los Angeles?

Book by the hour with a 2-hour minimum, or one-way at a fare based on distance; current rates are shown above and in the booking form. The total is fixed before you pay, with no surge on Friday and Saturday nights, and there is no second ride to fetch your car. Gratuity is not included.

Can I book a designated driver for later tonight?

Yes, as long as pickup is at least 2 hours away; bookings are taken 24/7. On New Year’s Eve, Halloween night in West Hollywood or a big game night, book earlier in the day or the day before.

Can the driver make stops on the way home?

Yes, if you book by the hour. Drop friends at their homes in Venice and Culver City, stop for food, then head home, all within the booked time. A one-way booking goes straight from the meeting point to your destination.
