    Weddings by the hour

Four hours covers the getaway car, or the ceremony-to-reception run with portraits in between. Six to eight hours takes you from getting ready to the last dance. Each vehicle is its own booking, and a Sprinter needs at least 3 hours.

    How the day usually runs

An example for a 4 pm ceremony. Your coordinator’s timeline replaces ours.

    1. 1

      Getting ready, 1:00 pm

The wedding-party car arrives at the hotel or the house 15 minutes early. If hair and makeup run long, that time comes out of your block, so build in a 30-minute cushion.

    2. 2

      To the ceremony, 3:00 pm

The wedding party leaves first and the couple last. Use real Saturday drive times: Beverly Hills to a Malibu canyon venue can take close to an hour.

    3. 3

      Portraits, 5:00 pm

Between the ceremony and the reception, the couple’s car follows the photo stops your photographer has planned, whether that is a golden-hour beach in Malibu or the streets of the Arts District.

    4. 4

      Reception, 6:00 pm

Guest Sprinters run their loops from the hotel to the venue, then stay parked until the end of the night. The couple’s car can wait through dinner, or you can book a second, shorter block just for the exit.

    5. 5

      The exit, 10:30 pm

The getaway car takes you to your hotel, or straight to LAX if the honeymoon starts that night, while the guest vans run the last loops back to the hotel block.

    Which car for which group

Capacities count passengers, not the chauffeur.

    The couple

First Class: a Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar. This is the car in the exit photos, and an SUV gives a full gown the most room.

    Getting-ready group

A Business SUV (Chevrolet Suburban or similar) takes up to 6, so the bride, her mother and four bridesmaids can leave the hotel together.

    The full wedding party

A Sprinter van carries up to 12, enough for a wedding party of ten plus the officiant, with space for bouquets and garment bags.

    Parents and grandparents

Business Class (Mercedes-Benz E-Class or similar) for up to 3, so family members who would rather not drive or park get to the venue on time.

    Out-of-town guests

Airport pickups at LAX, Burbank or John Wayne with flight tracking and a name sign in arrivals, booked as one-way rides to the hotel block.

    Everyone else

One or more Sprinter vans looping between the hotel and the venue, booked by the hour and timed to the ceremony and the send-off.

    Planning the guest shuttle

Start with two numbers: how many guests are staying at the hotel block, and how far away the venue is. A Sprinter holds 12, so 36 guests either take three vans at once or one van making three loops. Loops only work on short drives: a Santa Monica hotel to a venue in Venice or Marina del Rey is about a 30-minute round trip, while Malibu is closer to 90.

Send the first loop about 45 minutes before the ceremony so guests are seated on time, and put the last loop back after the send-off. Print the departure times on the wedding website so nobody waits at the curb guessing.

If the vans would sit idle through dinner, two shorter bookings, one for arrivals and one for the end of the night, can cost less than one long block. Price both ways in the booking form before you pay.

    Notes on LA wedding venues

Pickups anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County, drop-offs anywhere.

    • Hotel Bel-Air and The Beverly Hilton: hotel weddings where many guests stay on site, so the cars are mostly for the couple, the wedding party and family.
    • Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills: a hillside estate where guest parking is tight, which makes a shuttle from a nearby hotel worth it.
    • Calamigos Ranch and Saddlerock Ranch, Malibu: canyon venues on winding roads. Plan close to an hour from the Westside, and give guests a ride back instead of a dark canyon drive.
    • King Gillette Ranch, Calabasas: off Mulholland Highway near the 101, a short run from hotels in the west San Fernando Valley.
    • The Langham Huntington, Pasadena: a hotel venue that pairs well with portraits in Old Town Pasadena or at Pasadena City Hall.
    • Vibiana and The Ebell of Los Angeles: Downtown and Mid-Wilshire venues where street parking is scarce on a Saturday night.
    • Terranea Resort, Rancho Palos Verdes: an oceanfront resort where guests often stay on site, so airport pickups from LAX matter more than a shuttle.
    • The Resort at Pelican Hill, Newport Beach: Orange County is part of our pickup area, so the wedding party can start from an Irvine or Newport hotel.
    • Winery weddings in Temecula or Santa Barbara: drop-offs can be anywhere, so the wedding party can ride out from LA and back in one hourly booking.

    Weddings questions

Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp or call (213) 376-1699.

How far ahead should we book wedding transportation in Los Angeles?

As soon as the venue and ceremony time are set, and at least several weeks before the date. Each car can only be at one wedding that day, and Saturdays in spring and fall are the busiest. Cancelling 24 hours or more before pickup is free, so booking early carries no risk if plans change.

Is a “wedding limo” from LA Limo an actual limousine?

We use “limo” the way most people in LA do, to mean a chauffeured luxury car. Your wedding cars are Mercedes-Benz E-Class and S-Class sedans, Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban SUVs or similar, and Sprinter vans for groups of up to 12.

Can you decorate our wedding car?

Yes, decorations are available on request. Describe what you would like in the notes when you book, such as ribbon on the getaway car or a “Just Married” sign for the exit, and we will confirm what can be done for your car.

Can we have champagne in the car after the ceremony?

Champagne can be arranged on request for guests 21 and over. Mention it when you book so it is ready for the ride from the ceremony to the reception, or for the getaway at the end of the night.

How many cars does a wedding need?

Count people, then match them to cars: the couple in one First Class car, up to 6 people per SUV and up to 12 per Sprinter. A wedding party of eight plus 40 hotel guests, for example, works with a couple’s car, one Sprinter for the wedding party and two Sprinters making two guest loops each.

What if the ceremony or the photos run late?

The car and chauffeur are reserved for your whole block, so a late start just uses part of that time. That is why we suggest booking about 30 minutes more than the timeline says, and letting the chauffeur know as soon as plans shift.

Can the getaway car take us to LAX for the honeymoon?

Yes. End the hourly block at LAX, or book a separate one-way ride from your hotel the next morning. Outside rush hour, LAX is about 25 minutes from Beverly Hills and about 20 from Santa Monica.

Do you drive to weddings outside Los Angeles?

Yes. Pickups are anywhere in Los Angeles and Orange County and drop-offs can be anywhere, so a wedding party can leave a Pasadena hotel for a Temecula winery or a Santa Barbara venue. Long drives use more of an hourly block, so book enough hours for both directions.
